As part of the theme “Know my territory of everyday life”, the students of the three partner high schools made and analyzed a survey on the evolution of their city : Chantonnay (France), Bedzin (Poland), Puertollano (Spain).

At Lycée Clemenceau (France), this project took place with the group participating in Literature and Society. This work was done in a sequence entitled “Which City for tomorrow ?”. On this occasion, they wrote a manifesto : “Changing the city in the 21st century”. They then wrote the survey questions ; survey that was broadcast on the ENT of our high school.

The students analyzed the results of the survey, it was translated into English and then graphed these results. Here are the results of each survey :

Field trip to Nantes

On the sixth of June, all the students participating in the project, accompanied by three teachers also involved in the project, went to Nantes, the largest city in our region.

They spent the first part of the trip visiting the Nantes castle ( Château des Ducs de Bretagne). The Castle houses an exhaustive exhibition on the history of Nantes, its beginnings, highlights, influences and future projects. The students followed a guided tour which helped them understand the stages of the city’s development.

In the afternoon, the students took part in a treasure hunt organised by a history teacher. They followed the clues to discover the most important sights of the city (île Feydeau, slavery Memorial, changes in the urban planning along the Loire).

This trip was essential to prepare one of the final products of the project, a virtual game on the history of Nantes.
